RESOLUTION NO. 2314
A RESOLUTION OFTl{E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE MAYORAND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN APPLICATION
TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
FOR ALLOCATION FROM CROSSING PROTECTION FUND.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS7 under date of December 21, 1959, David D. Grayson..
Traffic Engineer~ recommended to the City Council that application be made
to the Public Utilities Commission for allocation of funds to install two No. 8
flashing light signals at Crossing No. BG 485. 77-C located on 25th Street at
the first rail crossing east of Alameda Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon deems it
advisable to install such signals;
NOW.. THEREFOREI' BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the Mayor and City Clerk be.. and they are
hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Vernon. all
necessary documents of the City of Vernon to the Public Utilities Comm.ission
for allocation of funds from the Crossing .Protection Fund, in accordance
with the procedure established by said Commission.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk of t. Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day of January.. 1960.
