A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES TO PERMIT THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY
4 TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE CITY OF VERNONI'
RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
5 TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON APRIL 12~ 1960.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
8 WHEREAS~ a general municipal election is to be held in the
9 City of Vernon on April 12. 1960; and
10 WHEREAS. in the course of conduct of said election and in
11 relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and polling
12 place cards to the registered voters of the City~ and it will facilitate such

13 mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the County of Los Angeles will pre-
14 pare and furnish the City the imprinting of the names and addresses of the
15 registered voters of said City on mailing labels or stickers furnished by the
16 City; and
17 WHEREAS~ all necessary expense in performing this service
18 shan be paid by the City of Vernon;
19 NOW~. THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That pursuant to the provisions of Section
9483 of the Elections Code of the State of California. this City Council hereby
requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to permit the Registrar
of Voters to prepare and furnish to said City. for use in conducting said
election to be. held on April12~ 1960. the imprinting of the names and
addresses of the registered voters of said City~ on mailing labels or stickers
furnished by the City.
SECTION 2:
That said City shall reimburse said
County for services performed when the work is completed and upon pre-
sentation to the City of a properly approved bill.
SECTION 3:
That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar
of Voters~ each a certified copy of this resolution.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
2 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter
3 the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 19th day of January. 1960.
