RESOLUTION NO. 2327
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE BID OF MONTEBELLO SEWER COMPANYa INC.~
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWERS IN 26TH STREET~
4 DOWNEY ROAD.. SOTO STREET AND WAS.HINGTON BOULEVARD IN
ACCORDANCE. WITH CONTRACT NO. 232 HERETOFORE APPROVED
5 BY THE CITY COUNCIL.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

8 WHEREAS# Contract No. 232 was approved by the City
9 Council by Resolution No. 2321 and pursuant thereto sealed bids were
10 opened on March 1~ 1960; and
11 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Arthur E. Nelson" Jr."
12 City Engineer, who has reported to the City Council under date of March 7,
13 1960" recommending that a. contract be awarded to Montebello Sewer
14 Company" Inc." for the sum of $136" 379.77, it being the lowest bid received
15 meeting the contract requirements;
16 NOW~ THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:

SECT ION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernort
18 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the City Engineerts
19 recommendations and authorizes the execution of a contract with Moniebello
20 Sewer Company, Inc., for the construction of sanitary sewers in 26th
21 Street, Downey Road, Soto Street and Washington Boulevard in accordance
22 with Contract No. 232 heretofore approved by the City Council.

SECTION 2 :
That all other bids are rejected# and the City
24 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
25 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
