A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VER,NON
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 236 FOR RrESURFACING OF SLAUSON
AVENUE FROM BOYLE AVENUE TO DOWNEY ROAD,. AND DETE.R-
MINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE Crry OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHE RE.AS # under date of April 1# 1960# David D. Grayson,.
Traffic Engineer# presented to the City Council Contract No. 236 for the
resurfacing of Slauson Avenue from Boyle Avenue to Downey Road in the
City of Vernon; and
WHERE.AS# the City Council of the City of Vernon has investigated
the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid for the work done
under said Contract No. 236;
NOW,. THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 236 be,. and the same is
hereby approved for the resurfacing of Slauson Avenue from Boyle Avenue
to Downey Road# in the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing
rate per diem for wages for laborers" workmen and mechanics. employed by
contractors and subcontractors" for the doing of any work set forth in
Contract No. 236 are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract
No. 236.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the pas.sage of this R,esolution# and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
