A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 DIRECTING THE GrvING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE 1750 GALLON PER MINUTE
4 TRIPLE COMBINATION PUMPER IN ACCOR.DANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS
NO. 240 OF SAID CITY.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
8 hereby directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the
9 furnishing of one 1750 gallon per minute Triple Combination Pumper in
10 accordance with Specifications No. 240~ and the Notice InvitingSealed
11 ProposalS' contained in said Specifications No. 240.

SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of general
circulation printed.,. pubUshed and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City
Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or cause the same to be posted~
15 in three (3) of the most public places in said City~ to wit: the northwest
16 corn.er of 38th Street and S.anta Fe Avenue; the northeast corner of Leonis

Boulevard and Pacific Boulevarcl; and on the bulletin board in the lobby of
the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in said
City.
SECTION 3 :
The first posting of said notice S'hall be not
less than ten (10) days before the date of opening bids for the propoaed
equipment. The notice shall distinctly state the equipm.ent to be ordered.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the pa.ssage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
game shall he in full force and effect.

PER MINUTE TRIPLE COMBINATION PUMPER
IN ACCORDANCE WITH. SPECIFICATIONS NO.
240 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
5 Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Vernon# CaUfornia$
6 at the City Clerkts office of said City at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue~ Vernon 58"
: I Ca.lifornia.. until 2:00 P.M.. on April19. 1960. for furnishing one 1750
gallon per minute Triple Combination Pumper in accordance withSpecifica-
9 tions No. 240 of said City. The proposals will be publicly opened and read
10 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue~
11 VernoII# California" on the date and the time above mentioned. Specifications
12 and contract documents may be obtained at the above mentioned office of
13 the City Clerk upon payment of a deposit of ten ($10.00) dollars for each
14 specification.
15 The equipment to be furnished under this specification is as follows:
16 One 1750 Gallon Per Minute Triple Combination
Pumper.

18 Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's
19 check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the estimated
20 aggregate amount of the bidasa guaranty that the bidder, if an award is
21 made in accordance with the terms of his proposal# will promptly execute
22 a contract in the required form# and furnish a satisfactory bond for the
23 faithful performance of the contract.
24 The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any
25 informality in any bid, and to make awards as the interests of the City may
26 require. This. notice is given by order of the City Council.
