A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 241 AND pLAN NO. B4A-1575 FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE 26TH STREET WATER MAIN FROM 1880 FEET
4 WEST OF INDIANA STREET TO 540 FEET WEST OF INDIANA STREET.
IN THE CITY OF VERNON. AND DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAIL-
5 ING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

8 WHEREAS~ under date of April28~ 1960~ Arthur E. Nelson#Jr."
9 City Engineer~ presented to the City Council Contract No. 241 for the
10 extension of the 26th Street water main; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has investi-
12 gated the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to he paid for the work
13 done under said Contract No. 241;
14 NOW.. TEEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 241 and Plan No.
16 B4A-1575~ consisting of one sheet# be" and the same is hereby approved
17 for the construction of the 26th Street Water Main from 1880 feet West of
18 Indiana Street to 540 feet West of Indiana Street, in the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
20 has ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevail-
21 ing rate per diem for wages for laborers~ workmen and mechanics
22 employed by contractors and subcontractors.. for the doing of any work set
23 forth in Contract No. 241 are those wage rate schedules contained in said
24 Contract No. 241.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
