A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VER.NON
3 ACCEPTING THE BID OF VERNON PAVING COMPANY FOR THE
RESURFACING OF SLAUSON A VENUE FROM ROYLE A VENUE TO
4 DOWNEY ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 236 HE.RETOFORE
APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS# Contract No. Z36 WaS approved by the- City Council
by Resolution No. 2330 and pursuant thereto sealed bids were opened on
April 19, 1960; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to David D. Grayson~
Traffic Engineer, wh() has reported to the City Council under date of April
Z8~ 1960, recommending that a contract be awarded to Vernon Paving Company
for the sum of $14~ 105.60" it being the lowest bid received meeting the
contract requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the contract in a.ccordance with the Traffic Engineerts
recom.mendations and authorizes the execution of a contra.ct with Vernon
Paving Company for the resurfacing of Slauson Avenue from Boyle Avenue
to Downey Road in accordance with Contract No. 236 heretofore approved by
the City Council.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected, and the
23 City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts
24 to unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 3rd day of May#" 1960.
