THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
8 WHEREAS# under date of April 19# 1960 sealed bids were opened
9 for the furnishing of one 1750 Gallon Per Minute Triple Combination
10 Pumper; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon rejected all
12 bids received;
13 NOW ~ THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
15 hereby directed to readvertise for proposals or bids for the furnishing
16 of one 1750 Gallon Per Minute Triple Combination Pumper in accordance
17 with Specifications No. 240~and the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals
18 contained in said Specifications No. 240.

SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of general cir-
20 culation printed~ published and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City
21 Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice# or c.ause the same to be
22 posted~ in three (3) of the most public places in said City, to wit: the
23 northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northe.ast

SECTION 3:
The first posting of said notice shall be
not less than ten (10) days before the date of opening bids for the proposed
equipment.
The notice shall distinctly state the equipment to be ordered.

check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the estimated
aggregated am Ol.lntof the bid as a guaranty that the bidder" if an award is
:rmde in accordance with the terms of his proposal" will promptly execu.te
a contract in the reqUired form# and furnish a satisfactory bond for the
faithful performance of the contract.
The City reserveS the right to reject any or all bids. to waive any
informality in any bid. and to make awards as the interests of the City may
require. This notice is given by order of the City Council.
