A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING TaE BID OF CROWN COACH CORPORATION FOR THE
FURNISHING OF ONE 1 750 GALLON P;ER MINUTE TRIPLE COMBINATION
PUMPER TO BE USED BY THE FlR$ DEPARTMENT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHER.E.AS" Specifications No. 240 were approved by the City
Counci1onApril 5", 1960 and pursuant thereto sealed bids were opened on.
April 19, 1960; and
W$UAS# the City Council of the City of Vernon rejected all bids
received on said date and directed the readvertising .for proposals or bids
fo.r the furnishing of said equipment ; and
WIlEREAS" pursuant to the direction of the City Council bids.
were opened on May 17" 1960 and said bids were referred to the Fire Chief
who reported to the City Couneil under date of May 20" 196.(), reeommending
that the bid Qf Crown Coach Corporation "be accepted;
NOW. THE:EtEFORE. BE lTRESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Couneil of the City of Verncm
does hereby accept the bid of Crown Coach Corporation for the furnishing
of one 1750 Gallon Per Minute Triple Combination Pumper to "be used by
the Fire Department.
SECTION. 2:
That all other bids are rejected# and the Cit.y
Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all ehecks and. drafts to
unsuccessful "bidders..
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon S.h.allcertify
to the passage of this ReSolution and thereuPQn and th.ereafter the Same shall
be in full forcea.ndeffect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED thIs 24th. day of MaY.h1960.
