SECTION 1:

7 hereby directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for installa-
8 tion of traffic signals at the inters.ectionof Downey Road.and Vernon Avenue.
9 in accordance with Contract No. 242 and Plan No. TV 60(11. and the Notice
10 Inviting ,Sealed Proposals contained in said . Contract No. 242.

There being no newspaper of general. cir-
12 culation printed. pub,Ushed and circulated in the City of Vernon~ the City
13 Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice. or cam~e the same to be posted.

the City Hall of the City of Vernon. located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in said
City.
SECTION 3:
Th.e first posting'of said notice. shall be not
less th.an ten (10) days before the date of opening bids for the proposed work.
The notice shall distinctly state the materials to be furnis.hed and the work
to he dOne.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Re$olution# and thereupon and thereafter the
samesh.all be in full force and effect.

for the installation of traffic signals at the inters.ection of Downey Road and
YernonAvenue, inaccordanee with Contract No. Z42approved by said City.

The construction to be done and materiaJ.s to be furnished under said
Co:ntrac.t No. 242 areappro.ximately as follows:
Furnish and. install traffic. signal a, controller#detect()rs
and all appurtenant work at the intersection assnown on
Plan No. TV 60CH.
The c.(}fistruction shall be in .a.ccordance with Plan No. TV .6001 and
Contraet No. 242, heretofore approved by the City Council ofs.aid City, and
now on file lnthe office of the City Clerk of said City, a copy .of which may
be secured from the City Engineer of s:aid City.
Bidders are h.ereby notified that# pursuant to the provisions. of
Sect1Gns1770-1781, inclusive# Labor Code of California, the City Council
of the City of Vernon nasascertainedth:e general prevailing rate of per. diem
