3 A RE$OL UT ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 228 AND PLAN NO. TV5908 FOR THE
4 INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTERSECTION OF BOYLE
AVENUE AND FltUITLAND A VENUEa AND AT THE INTERSECTION OF
5 LEONIS OOULEVARDAND ALCOA AVENUE. AND DETERMINING THE
GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
THE CITY COUNCtLOF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. under date of August 4" 1960.. DavidP.Gray5on"
Traffic Engine~r" presented to the City Council Contract No. 228 for the
installation of traffic signals at the intersection of Boyle Avenue and Fruit-
land Avenue. and at the intersection of LeoniS Boulevard and Alcoa Avenue;
and
WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of Vernonllas investiga.ted
the generalprevaiUng rate of per diem wages to be paid for the work done
under said Contra.ct No. 228.
NOW. THEREFOltEa BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 228 and Plan No. TV5908
be" and the same are hereby approved for the installation of traffic signals
at the intersection of Boyle Avenue and Fruitland Avenue" and at the inter-
section of Leonis Boulevard and Alcoa Avenue in the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hq
ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing
rate per dieID for wages for laborers" workmen and mechanics employed
by cont ractors and subcontractors" for the doing of any work set forth in
Contract No. 228 are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract
No. 228.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certtlyto thepas'sageof thi.s Resolution and thereupon and th~reafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
