RESOLUTION NO. 2372
A RESOLUTION OJr THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE BID OF McAMIS AND BAKER FOR THERECON-
STRUCTION OF 55TILSTREET FROM S.A::N'TA FE A VENUE TO THE EAST
4 BOUNP..A.B.Y. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 237 OF SAl;DC:r:rY.

T.HE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON.RESOLYES AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS" Contract No. 237 was approved by the City Council
of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2345" and pursuant thereto sealed
bids were opened on August 2" 1960; and
WHEREAS" said bids were referred to David n.Grayson"
Traffic Engineer" who ha:sreported to the City Council under date of
Augus:t 4" 196.0. recommending tha.t a contract be awarded to McAmis and
Baker". for the sum of $.15" 697. 76. it being the lowest bid rec.eivedmeet-
ing the contract requirem.ents.
NOW. THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby awa.rd the contract in accordance with the recommendation of
18 David D. Grayson". Traffic Engineer.. and authorizeJl the execution of a
19 contract with McAmis and Baker" 15808 SouthBroadway"Gardena..
20 California.. for the reconstruction of 55th Street from Santa Fe Avenue to
21 the east City boundary in accordance with Contract No. 237 heretofore
22 approved by the City Council.

SECT ION 2:
That all other bids are rejected" and the City
24 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
25 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
27 certify to thepaS".sageof this Resolution. and thereupon and there.after the
