RESOLUTION NO. 2374
A RESOLUTION OF THE ClTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE RESURFACING OF SLAUSON AVENUE FROM BOYLE
AVENUE TO DOWNEY ROAD IN ACCOR.DANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 236.
THECXTY COUNCIL OF TH.E CITY OF VERNON RESOLVE1S AS FOLL()WS:
WHEREAS. David D.Grayson. Traffic Engineer" has reported
to the City Council under date of Augu.a.t29" 1960, that the work of re-
surfacing Slauson Avenue from Boyle Avenue to .DowneyR.o.ad haa been
completed; and
WHE:aEAS" said David D. Grayson" recommends that payment
be made in accordance with said contract.
NOW, TlIERE.F'ORE. BE ITRESOLV'EJ):
SECTION 1:
That the resurfacing.of Slau.a.on Avenue from
Boyle Avenu.e to Downey Road be" and the same is hereby accepted as being
in accordance with Contract No. 236 of aaid City.
SECTION 2:
That the balance due on said Contract. is the
sum of $2" 112.95" and.aaid sum is. hereby directed to be paid to Vernon
Paving Company" thirty-five (35)daya .after th.eadoption of this reaolution.
SECTION 3:
The City Cler-k of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the pasaage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and .effect.
