RESOLUTION NO. 2379
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE RECONSTRUCTION OF VERNON AVENUE FROM SOTO
STREET TO OOWNEYROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITIl CONTRACT NO. 235.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS" David D. Grayson" Traffic Engineer" has reported
to the City Council under date of September 1" 1960" that the work of
reconstructing Vernon Avenue fromSoto Street to. Downey R,oad has been
co.mpleted; and
WHEREAS" said DavidD. Grayson" recommends that payment
be made in accordance with said contract.
NOW,THER:EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the reconstruction of Vernon Avenue
fromSotoStreet to Downey Road be. and thesaIDl'} is hereby accepted as
being in accordance with Contract No. 235 of said City.
SECTION 2:
That the balance due on said Contract is the
sum.o.f $20. 693. 89" and said Sum is hereby directed to be paid to Vernon
Paving Company" thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution.
SECTION 3 :
The City Clerko.f the City of Vernon shall
certify to the pass.age of this Resolution" and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of September" 1960.
