A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE.CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE BID OF ELECTRIC AND MACHINERY SERVICE.. INC...
F OR THE INSTALLATION .OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT BOYLE A YE.NUE
4 A ND FRUITLAND A VENUE AND AT LEONIS BOULEVARD AND ALCOA
AVENUE IN ACCORDANCE WITUCONTRACT NO. 228 HERETOFORE
5 APPROVED BY THE ClTY COUNCn...

THE CITY GOUNCn.. OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

8 WHEREAS" Contract No. 228 was approved by the City Council
9 of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2365... and pursuant thereto sealed
10 bids were opened on September 6.. 1960; and
11 WHEREAS.. said bids were referred to .David D. Grayson.. Traffic
12 Engineer~ who has reported to the City Council under date of September 13,
13 1960 recommending that a contract be awarded to Electric and .Machinery
14 Service, Inc... 4610 East Santa Ana Street.. Bell" California.. for the sum of
15 $15~ 025. OO~ it being the lowest bid received meeting the contract require-
16 ments;
17 _ NOW~. THEREFORE. BE ITB.J:5.0LVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of
20 David D. Grayson.. Traffic Engineer. and authorizes the execution of a con-
21 tract with. Electric and Machinery Service.. Inc." for the installation of traffic
22 signals at Boyle Avenue and Fruitland Avenue and at Leonis Boulevard and
23 Alcoa Avenue.. in accordance with Contract No. 228 heretofore approved.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected" and the City
25 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
26 unsuccessful bid.ders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
