RESOLUTION NO. 2387
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF VER,NON
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 247 AND PLANS NOS. TV 6005 to TV 6009
FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAl.$ AT FIVE INTER-
SECTIONS.OFSOTO STREET~ AND DETERMINING THE GENERAL
PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES .AS FOLLOWS:
WIlEUAS, under date of October 11.. 1960.. David D. Grayaon,
Traffic Engineer.. presented to the City Council Contract No. 247 for the
installation of traffic signals at five intersections of SotoStreet; and
WHEREAS.. the City Council of the City of Vernon has inves:tigated
the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid for the work done
under said Contract No. 247.
NOW.. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 2.47 and Plans Nos. TV 6005
to TV 6009 be.. and the same are hereby approved for the installation of
traffies.ignals. at five interSections of Soto Street in the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing
rate per diem for wages for laborers.. workmen and mechanics employed
by contractors and subcontractors.. for the doing of any work set forth in
Contract No. 247 are thoae wage rate schedules contained in said Contraet
No. 247.
SECTION .3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon .sh.all
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 18th day of. October.. 1960.
