RESOLUTION NO. 2390
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH.E CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF J. H. LIPOW CONSTRUCTION CO. FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE PUBLIC WOR;KS FACILITY" IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 248 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS.. Contract No. 248 was approved by the CityCouncU
of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2381.. and pursuant thereto sealed
bids were opened on October 4.. 1960; and
WHEREAS.. said bids were referred to the Engineering Depart-
ment.. who has reported to the City Council under date of October 14" 1960..
recommending that a contract be awarded toJ. H. Lipow Construction Co. "
on the basis of their low bid.. Alternate B" for the sum of $320.. 800.00, it
being the lowest bid received meeting the contract requirements.
NOW. TliEREFORE" B.E ITRESOLYED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of
the Engineering Department.. and authorizes the execution of a contract
withJ. H. Lipow Construction Co. ~ 5114 Venice Boulevard" Los Angeles.
California.. for the construction of the Public Works Facility in accordance
with Contract No. 248 heretofore approved by the City Council.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected.. and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks. or drafts
to unsuccessful bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of th.e City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 18th day of October" 1960.
