RESOLUTION NO. 2393
A RESQLUTIONOF 'rHE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING ONE FOAM MANIFOLD HOSE TRUCK. IN ACCORDANCE
WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 234 HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE
4 CITY OF VERNON.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

7 WHEREAS.. on February 2~ 1960~ the Yankee Motor Bodies
8 Corporation was awarded the contract for the furnishing and delivery of
9 one Foam and Manifold Hose Truck in accordance with Specifications No.
10 234.. to be used by the Fire Department; and
11 WHEREAS.. L. C. Husted~ Fire Chief, has reported to the City
12 Council under date of November 1~ 1960, that said equipment has been
13 received in a satisfactory manner.. and that payment should be m.ade in
14 accordance with the contract;
15 NOW. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That one Foam Manifold Hose Truckbe..
17 and the same is hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance with
18 Specifications No. 234~ heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That there is now due Yankee Motor Bodies
20 Corporation the sum of $19,890.00, being 90% of the contract price, plus
21 $884.00 sales tax, or a total sum of $20~ 774. 00.. and the balance of $2.. 210. 00
22 is due thirty-five (35) days after the passage of this resolution~ and the City
23 Council hereby directs payment of said sum to said Company up()n the adoption
24 of this Resolution~ and the balance thirty-five (35) days thereafter.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
26 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
27
same shall be in full force and effect.
