RESOLUTION NO. 2398
A RES.OLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE
INTERSECTION OFOOWNEY ROAD AND LEONIS BOULEVARD. IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 244 HERETOFORE APPROVED
BY THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VE.RNON R.ESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, David D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer of the City
of Vernon.. has reported to the City Council under date of November 16,
1960 that C. D. Draucker, Inc. has completed the work of installing
trafflc signals at the intersection of Downey Road and Leonis Boulevard..
in accordance with. Contract No. 244; and
WHEREAS, said David D. Grayson, has recommended that
the work be accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance
with the agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the work of installing traffic signals
at the intersection of Downey Road and Leonis Boulevard be.. and the same
is hereby accepted inaccordanee with Contract No. 244 heretofore approved
by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That there is now due and payable to
C. D. Draucker, Inc. the sumo! $5, 660. 15, and the remaining fifteen
pere.ent,or the sum of $998.85 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
adoption of this Resolution, and the City Council hereby directs payment
of said sum to said Company upo.n the adoption of this Resolution.. a.nd the
balance thirty-five (35) days thereafter.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
