AR,ES()LunON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING TIlE .INST ALLATIO'N OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT TIlE
INTEllSECTIONOF OOWNEY llQAD AND FlWITLAND A VENUE~ IN
ACCORDANCE WlTH CONTRACT NO. 243 HERETOFORE APPROVED
BY THE CITY OF VER.NON.
TlIE CITY COUNCIL .OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEltEA$# . David D. Grayson.. Traffic Engineer of the City
of Vernon, b.asreported to the City Council under date of November 16,
1960 that Electro Construction Company has completed the work of installing
traffic signaJ.s at the intersection of Downey Road;;mdFruiUand Avenue..
in accordance with Contract No. 243; and
WHEREAS.. said David D. Grayson.. has recommeru:i~d that
the work be accepted and payme.nt made to the contractor inaccorda.nce
with the agreement;
NOW.. THEREFORE.. B~ IT RESOLVED:
SECTION I:
That the work of installingtraff.icsignals
at the intersection of Downey Road and Fruitland Avenue be.. and the same
is hereby accepted in accordance with Contract No. 243 heretofore approved
by th.e City-of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That there is now due and payable to Electro
Construction Company the,aumof $6..114. 90~and the remaining fifteen
percent.. or th.e sum of $1.. 079.10 is payable thirty...f.ive (35) days after tbe
adoption of this Resolution, and the City Council bereby directs payment of
said sum to said Company upon the adoption of this Resolution, and the
balance thirty-five ( 35l days the reafter.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon: shall
certify to the passage of this ReSOlution.. and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 29th day of November..
