AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN APPLICATION
4 TO THE PUBLIC UTILITmS COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
FOR ALI..OCATIC'IN FROM CROSSING PItOTECTION FUND.
RESOLUTION NO. 2401
THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS.. under date of December5~ 1960~ David D. Grayson..
Traffic Engineer.. recommended to the City Council that application be made
to the Public Utilities Commission for allocation of funds to install two
No. 8 flashing light signals at Crossing Nos. 25-0. 95-C and 3A-4. 63-C
on Soto Street approximately 300 feet s,outh of Vernon Avenue.
WHEREAS~. the City Council of the City of Vernon deem,s it
advisable to install such signals;
NOW, THEREFORE.. ~E .IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they
are hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Vernon~ all
necessary documents of the City of Vernon to the Public UtilitiesCommissio
for allocation of funds fromth.e Crossing Protection Fund, in accordance
with the procedure establisbed by said Commission.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 20th day of December.. 1960.
