3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING OF RECONSTRUCTING OF 55TH STREET FROM. SANTA
4 FE AVENUE .TO THE EAST CITY BOUNDARY.. IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 237 HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF VERNON.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS.. David D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer of the City
8 of Vernon, has reported to the City Council under date of December 28,
9 1960, that the ,work of reconstructing 55th Street from Santa Fe Avenue to
10 the East City Boundary has been completed, in accordance with Contract
11 No. 237; and
12 WHEREAS, said David D. Grayson, has recommended that
13 the work be accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance
14 with the agreement;
15 NOW.. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION .1:
That the work of reconstructing 55th Street
17 from Santa Fe Avenue to the East City Boundary be~ and the same is hereby
18 accepted in accordance with Contract No. 237 heretofore approved by the
19 City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That a partial payment in amount of
21 $13, 722. 88 has been made, and the remaining fifteen percent, or the sum
22 of $2, 421. 69 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this
23 Resolution, and the City Council hereby directs said payment after thirty-
24 five .(35) days from said adoption.

SECTION 3 :
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
26 certify to the passage of this Resolution~ and thereupon and. thereafter the
27 sam e shall be in full force and effect.
