RESOLUTION NO. 2404
A aESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR ACCUMULATION
OF THE GAS TAX ALLOCATION TO CITIES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS.. a memorandum of agreement has been presented to
be entered into. with the State of California for accumulation of the gas tax
allocation to cities for the fiscal year 1961 in the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS.. the City.GouncU has heard read said agreement in
full and is familiar with the contents thereof;
NOW~ THEaEFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon resolves
that.. under the provisions .of Section 200 of the Streets and Highways Co.de..
the gas tax allocated for major city streets be accumulated for future ex-
penditure, . and that .said agreement be and the same is hereby approved"
and the Mayor and City Clerk are directed to sign the same o.n behalf of s.aid
City~ said agreement to be binding u.pon the City upon its execution by the
.authorized officials of the State.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Reso.lution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force andeffeet.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th day of January" 1961.

Enclosed in triplicate is memorandum of agree-uent covering!
~~~~~ of gas tax funds within your city for the
1960-61 fiscal year, in accordance with the project statement
submitted by you.
You will find attached to each copy a suggested form 01'
resolution for execution of the agreement by the city. The
form has been prepared for the city's convenience, and need
not be used if it conflicts with the city's practice.
The agreement should be signed by an official duly author-
ized by law to execute agreements on behalf of the city, and
should be accompanied by a certified copy of the resolution of
the city council approving the agreement and authorizing the
officer to sign said agreement.
Your attention is called to the white slip attached to
the original and duplicate copies, and also to the necessity
of dating the agreement and affixing the official seal of the
city to the agreement and accompanying resolution.
After the agreement has been signed by the city, please
return the original and duplicate to this office; the third
enclosed copy is for your files. Following the execution of
t~e original and duplicate copy by the Director of Public
Works, the duplicate executed copy will be returned to you.
