SECTION 1:
The City Clerk of the C1tyof Vernon is hereby
8 directed tQ give notice inviting sealed proPQsals or bids for the furnishing
9 and delivery to the City of Vernon of one Eighty-Foot Fire Tower and
10 Ladder Truck Motor Fire Apparatus in accordance withSpecificaUons
11 No. 254. and the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals contained in said
12 Specifications No. 254.

SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of general cir-
14 culation printed, published and circulated in the City of Vernon.. the City
15 Clerk.is hereby directed to post said notice.. or cause the same to be posted..
16 in three (3). of the mQst public places in said City, to wit: the northwest
17 corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner of Leonis
18 Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard.. and on. the bulletin board in the lobby of
19 the City Hall of the City of Vernon~ located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in
20 said City.

SECTION 3:
The first posting of said notice shall be not
22 less than ten (10) days before .the date of opening bids for the propos.ed
23 equipment. The notice shall distinctly state the equipment to be purcha!Jed.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution.. and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.

7 furnishing one EIghty-Foot Fire Tower and Ladder Truck Motor Fire
8 Apparatus. The proposals will be publicly open.ed and read in th.eCouncil
9 Chambers of the City Hall located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue.. Vernon.,
10 California.. on the date and the time above mentioned. Specifications and
11 contract documents may be obtained at the above mentioned office of the
12 City Clerk upon payment of a deposit of ten ($10.00) dollars fo:reach
13 specification.
14 The equipment to be furnished under this specification is as
15 follows: One SQ foot Fire Tower and Ladder Truck Motor Fire Apparatus.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashienr
check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10,0) of the estimated
aggregate amount of the bid as a guaranty that the bidder, if an award is
made in accordance with the: terms of his proposal.. will prompUy execute
a contract in the required form.. and furnish a satisfactory bond for the
faithful performan.ce of th.econtract.
The City reserves the right to reject anyer all bids, to waive
any informality in any bid.. and to make awards as the interests of the City
may require. This notice is given by order of the City. Council.
