RESOLUTION NO. 2408
A~SOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TRE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE INIT ALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT BOYLE
AVENWAND FRUITLAND AVENUE AND AT LEONlS BOULEVARD AND
ALCOA AVENUE.. IN ACCORDANCE WlTH CONTRACT NO. 228 HEltETO-
FOItE APPROVE)) BY THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ David D. Grayson.. Traffic Engineer of tne City
of Vernon.. has reported to the City Council under date of January 26.. 1961,
that the work of installing traffic signals at Boyle Avenue and Fruitland
Avenue and at Leo.nis Bo.ulevard and Alcoa Avenue has heen completed.. in
accordance with Contract No. 228; and
WHEREAS" said David D. Grays()n~ has recommended that
the work be accepted. and payment made to the Contractor in accordance
with the agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the work of installing traffics.ignals
17 at :Boyle Avenue and Fruitland Avenue and at Leonis Boulevard and Alcoa
18 Avenue he.. and the same is hereby accepted in accordance with Contract
19 No. 228 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That partial payments in amount of
21 $15.. 388. 65 have been made~ and the remaining fifteen percent.. or the sum
22 of $2, 715. 65 is payable thirty-five (35) d.ays after the adoption of this
23 Resolution.. and the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to.
24 the Electric and Machinerylervice6 Inc.

SECTION 3:
The .City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the pas~ag~ of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 7th day of February.. 1961.
