RESOLUTION NO. 2410
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITI:N"G SEALED PROPOSALS OR
BIDS .FOR FURNISHING,AND INSTALLING RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
FOR THE CITY OF VERNON# IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 252
OF THE. CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY.OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Clerk O'f the City O'f Vernon is
hereby directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for furnishing
and installing radio communication system for the City of Vernon.. in
accordance with Contract No. 252, and the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals
contained in said Contract No. 252.
SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of general circula-
tion printed# published and circulated in the City of Vernon.. the CityC1erk
is hereby directed to post said notice~ or cause the same to be posted, in
three (3) of the most public places in said City.. to wit: the northwest
corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner of Leonis
Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard.. and on the bulletin board in the lobby of
the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in said
City.
SECTION 3:
The first posting of said notice shall be not
less than ten (10) days befOcre the date of opening bids for the proposed work.
The notice shall distinctly state the materials to' be furnished and the work
to be done.
SECTION 4:

The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to' the passage of this Resolution.. and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPR.OVED this 21st day of February.. 1961.

mentioned. Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained at the
above mentioned .office .of the City Clerk up.on payment of a deposit of ten
dollars ($10.00) for eachsp:ecification.
The construction t.o b'e done .and materials to be furnished under
said Contract No. 252 are approximately as foJlows:
Furnish and install base station with transmitter-receiver.. 3
remot.econtrol units..c.ommunicatio.ns tower.. 13 mobile units, 3 H.andie-
Talkie units.. wiring~ and all appurtenances as shown .on plans and specifica-
tions.
The constructi.onshall be in accordance with Contract N.o. 252
heretofore approved by th.e City Council of said City~ and now .on file in the
office of the City. Clerk of said City~ a copy of which may be secured from
tbeCUy .~ngineer .of s aid City.
l31dders are hereby n.otified that, purs.uant t.o th.e proviSions of
section 1 t70-1781.. inclusive, Labor Code of California.. the City Council
of th.e City of Vernon has as:certained th.e general prevailing rate of per diem
wages and rates for legal holidays and over-time work in the locality in
which this work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or

is awarded.. and upon any subcontractor under him.. to pay all laborers,
workmen, orm.echanicsemployed by them in the execution of the contract
