A RESOLUTION OF THE . CITY COUNCIL OF mE CITY OF VERNON
APPROVING CONTRAcT NO. 249 AND PLAN NO. A3-1578 FOR RECON-
STRUCTION OF BOYLE AVENUE FROM VERNON AVENUE TO LEONIS
:BOULEVARD~ AND DETEaMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
PER DIEM WAQ1!:S.
THE CIl'YCQUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ~LVES AS FOLLOWS.:
WHEREAS.. under date of March 8.. 1961.. David D. GraysQcn..
Traffic Engineer;, preaented to the City Council Contract No. 249 for the
reconstruction of Bo:yle Avenue from Vernon Avenue to Leonis :Boulevard;
and
WHEREAS.. the City Council Qf the City 'Of Vernon has investi-
gated the general prevailing rate 'Of per diem wages to be paid for the work
done un.dersaid Contract No. 249.
NOW ~TlfEREFOltE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 2.49 and Plan No. A3-1578
be, and the same are hereby approved for the reconstruction of B1>yle Avenue
from Vernon Avenue to Leonls Boulevard.
SECTION 2:
The City Coun.cil of the City of Vernon has
ascertained and d(}es hereby find and declare that th.e general prevailing .rate
per diem for wages for laborers.. workmen and mechanics employed by
contractors and subcontractors.. for the doing of any work set forth in
Con.tract No. 249 are those wage rate schedules. contained in sale( Contract
No. 249.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full farce and effect.
ADOPTED andAPPR.OVED this 21st day of March.. 1961.
