A :RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 'OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS AND
ELECTRONICS. INC. FOR FURNISHING AND UfSTALLING lWlIO
COMUUNICATION SYSTEM.. IN ACCOnDANCE WITHCONTMCT NO. 252
OF SAID CITY.
6 THE CITY COUJ."ICIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHER.EAS,Contract No. 252 was approved by the ctty.Council
8 of the Cttyof Vernon by Resolution No. 2409. and pursuant thereto sealed
9 bids were opened on M.arch 1.. 1961; and
10 WHEREAS~ said bids were referred to David D. Grays.on,
11 Traffic Engineer, and Robert H. King" Superintendent of Water and Sewer
12 Systems, who have reported to the City Council under date of March 13,
13 1961" recommending .that a contract be awarded to Motorola Communica-
14 tiousand Electronlcs, Inc. for th.esumof $20, 599. 70, it being the lowest
15 bid recelved meeting .fuecontract requirements;
16 NOW, THE:R.E,FORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the rec()mmendatio.n of
19 David D. Grayson and Robert H. King, and authorizes theexecutton oJ a
20 contract with Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc., 12034
21 Riverside Drive, North Hollywo.od, California, for furn.ishingand installing
22 Radio. Communication System in accordance with Contract No. 252 hereto-
23 fore approved by the City GounctI.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected, and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts
to' unsuccessful bidders.
SEC'rION 3:
Th.e City Clerk of .the City of Vernon shall
certify ta the passage of this Res,olutton, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 21st day of March, 1961.
