ACCEPTING THE ,INSTALLATION OF 'rMFFIC SIGNALS AT FIVE
4 LNTEBSECTIONS OF~O STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 247 HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF VERNON.

6 TRE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHER:EAS, David D.Grayson, TrafftcEngtneer of the City Of
8 Vernon. hasrepo.rtedto the City Council under date of March 10~ 1961.
9 th.at the work of installing traffic signals at five intersectionaQfSotQStreet,
10 has been completed, in accordance with Contract No. 247; and
11 WHEREAS" said David D. Grayson, has recomme.nd~d that the
12 work be accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance with
13 the agreement;
14 NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the work' Of installing.tratfic signals at
16 five interseetions of Soto: Street be, and the same is hereby accepted in
17 accordance with Contract No. 247 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That partial payments in amount of $42, 743. 10
19 have been made, and the remaining fifteen percent, or the sum of $7, 542.90
20 is payable thlrty-five(3.5) days after the adoption of this resolutio:n. and
21 the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to Eleetric.and
22 MachineryService, Inc.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
24 certify to the pas.sage of this ReSolution and thereupon and there. after tb.e
25 aameshaIl be in full force and effect.
