RESOLUTION NO. 2428
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 257 FOR THE RESURFACING OF smo
STREET FROM NORTH BOUNDARY TO LOS ANGELES RNER BRIDGE
IN THE CITY OF VERNON. AND DETERMINING THE GENERAL PRE-
VAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VE,RNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, under date of May 8, 1961, Contract No. 257 wag
presented to the City Council for the resurfacing of Soto Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has investigated
the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid for the work done
under said Contract No. 257;
NOW.. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 257 be, and the game is
hereby approved for the resurfacing of Soto Street from North Boundary to
Los Angeles River Bridge in the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing
rate per diem for wages for laborers, workmen and mechanics employed
by contractors and subcontractors, for the doing of any work set forth in
Contract No. 257 are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract
No. 257.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there.after the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 16th day of May, 1961.
