RESOLUTION NO. 2432
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING TIlE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWERS IN 26TH
STREET, DOWNEY ROAD, SOTO STREET AND WASHINGTON BOULE-
VARD, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 232 HERETOFORE
APPROVED BY THE CITY OF VERNON.
T,HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelaon, Jr., City Engineer, has
reported to theCity Council under date of March 23, 1961, that the con-
st.ruction of sanitary aewers in 26th Street, Downey Road, Soto street and
Washington Boulevard has been completed, in accordance with Contract No.
232; and
WHEREAS, said Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., has recommended
that the work be accepted and paYment made to the Contractor in accordance
with the agreement;
NOW~THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the construction of sanitary sewers
in .26th Street, Downey Road, Soto Street and Washington Boulevard be,
and the same is hereby accepted in accordance with Contract No. 232 here-
tofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That partial paYm.ents in amount of
$115,605.98 have been made, and the remaining fifteen percent, or the
sum of $20~ 401. 05 is payable thirty-five (35) days after th,e adoption of this
Resolution, and the City Council hereby directs paYment of said sum to
Montebello Sewer Company, Inc.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to. the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
aameshaIl be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 4th day of April, 1961.
