RESOLUTION NO. 2437
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
WELL NO. 14~ AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2423 APPROVING
4 CONTRACT NO. 255 OF SAID CITY.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS. under date of March 21~ 1961 the City Council of
8 the City of Vernon approved Cont ract No. 255 by Resolution No. 2423. for
9 the construction of Well No. 14; and
10 WHEREAS~ under date of April 4~ 1961 sealed bids were opened
11 for the construction of said Well; and
12 WHEREAS~ the City Council of the City of Vernon finds that the
13 best interest of the City will be served by rejecting all bids received and
14 rescinding Resolution No. 2423 approving said Contract No. 255.
15 NOW 3 THEREFOREa BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby reject all bids received for the construction of Well No. 14~
18 and hereby rescinds Resolution No. 2423 of said City approving Contract No.
19 255.

SECT ION 2:
The City Clerk is hereby instructed and
21 directed to return all checks or drafts to all bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shan
23 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
24 same shall be in full force and effect.
25 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 18th day of April, 1961.
