NO. 259' OF SA.ID CITY.
THEcrry COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON litESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHE~AS. Contract No. 259 was approved by the City Council
of the City 0f Vernon by Resolution No. 2438" a.nd pUrsuant theretn, sealed
bid,s were opened on May 2." 1961; and
WHEREAS.s.a.id bids. were referred tG R.<>bertH. King" Superinten
dent .of Water and Sewer Systems. who has ,reported >to the CIty Council under
date of Ma.y5, 1961. recGmmendingthat a contract be awarded to-Roscoe
Moss Company, for the sum of $91,109.00, it being thelowest bid received
meeting the contract requirements.
NOW.TH;EREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of
17 Rob-ert H. King, Superintendent of Water and, . Sew er Syste.ma. and authorJ,zes
18 the execution of acontraet with, Roscoe Moss Company for the construction
19 of WellNG. 14" in accordance with Contract No. 2.59 heretoforeapproveQ
20 by the City-Council.

SECTION 2.:
That a1Iothe.r bids are rejected. and the
City, Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or dnfts
to unsuecesjiful bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the p~sage of this Resplution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in .fullforce andeffecl.
