WHER.EAS, Contract No. 250. was approved by the City.CoUltcil
of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 243.4~a.nd pursuant thereto' sealed
bidS were opened on May 2, 1961; and
WRE]JeEAS. said bids wererefe.rred to Da.vid D. Gray$.Qn,
Traffic Engineer, who has reported to the City Council under date of
Ma.y 8~ 1961rec.ommen.ciing that a contract be awarded to Vernon Paving
Company, for the sum ()f $14~ 670. 75~ it being the lowest bid received
meeting thecontraet requirements.
NOW.. 'rHEREFORE~ BE.IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That th:e City Council of the City of Vernon
does herebyawa.rd the c.ontract in aceordanc.e with the recommendation of
David n. Grays:o.n, Traffic Engineer. and authorizes the execution of a
co.ntract with Vern,on Paving Company for resurfacing of Vernon Avenue
from Santa Fe Avenue to Soto Street, in accordanc.e with Contract No. 250.

That all other bids are rejected, and the
