RESOL UTION NO.
2462
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE BID OF ESSICK MANUFACTURING COMPANY FOR
THE FURNISHING OF THREE TO FNE TON TANDEM ROLLER AND
4 TRAILER3 IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 263 OF SAID CITY.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

7 WHEREAS. Contract No. 263 was approved by the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2451. and pursuant thereto sealed
9 bids were opened on June 20. 1961; and
10 WHEREAS. said bids were referred to David D. Grayson.
11 Traffic Engineer, who has reported to the City Council under date of June
12 28. 1961. recommending that a contract be awarded to Essick Manufacturing
13 Company for the sum of $4, 887.50. it being the lowest bid received meeting
14 the contract requirem ents;
15 NOW" THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:

SECT ION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of
18 David D. Grayson. Traffic Engineer. and authorizes the execution of a
19 contract with Essick Manufacturing Company. 1950 Santa Fe Avenue, Los
20 Angeles 21, California. for furnishing 3 to 5 ton tandem roller and trailer
21 in accordance with Contract No. 263 heretofore approved by the City Council.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected. and the City
23 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
24 unsuccessful bidders.

SECT ION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution. and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
