RESOLUTION NO. 2468
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 266 AND PLANS NO. AI-1596 FOR CON-
STRUCTION OF VERNON AVENUE RELIEF SEWER, IN VERNON AVENUE
4 FROM ALCOA AVENUE TO TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY FEET (2501)
EAST OF ALCOA AVENUE, AND DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAIL-
5 ING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS, under date of July 28, 1961, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr.,
8 City Engineer, presented Contract No. 266 with Plans No. AI-1596 to the
9 City Council for the construction of Vernon Avenue Relief Sewer; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has investigated
11 the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid for the work done
12 under said Contract No. 266.

13 NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 266 and Plans No. AI-1596
15 be, and the same are hereby approved for the construction of Vernon Avenue
16 Relief Sewer, in Vernon Avenue from Alcoa Avenue to two hundred and fifty
17 feet (250') East of Alcoa Avenue in the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has ascer
19 tained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing rate per
20 diem for wages for laborers, workmen and mechanics employed by contractor
21 and subcontractors, for the doing of any work set forth in Contract No. 266
22 are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract No. 266.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
