RESOLUTION NO.
2472
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE RECONSTRUCTION OF BOYLE AVENUE FROM
VERNON AVENUE TO LEONIS BOULEVARD" IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 249 HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF
VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS.. David D. Grayson.. Traffic Engineer.. has reported
to the City Council under date of July 19.. 1961.. that the reconstruction of
Boyle Avenue from Vernon Avenue to Leonis Boulevard has been completed
in accordance with Contract No. 249; and
WHEREAS.. said David D. Grayson.. has recommended that
the work be accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance
with the agreement;
NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the reconstruction of Boyle Avenue
from Vernon Avenue to Leonis Boulevard be" and the same is hereby
accepted in accordance with Contract No. 249 heretofore approved by
the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
Th.at partial payments in amount of
$35.. 626.60 have been made.. and the remaining fifteen percent.. or the
sum of $6.. 287.05 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this
resolution.. and the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to
Griffith Company.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
