RESOLUTION NO. 2.473
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY.OF VERNON
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 262 AND PLANS NO. Al-1593 FOR CON-
STRUCTION OF A SANITARY SEWER IN SANTA FE AVENUE FROM
57TH STREET TO SLAUSON AVENUE.. AND DETERMINING THE GENERAL
PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
THE crTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ under date of August 7~ 1961. Arthur E. Nelson~ Jr...
City Engineer~ presented Contract No. 262 with Plans No. A1-1593 to the
City Council for construction of a sanitary sewer in Santa Fe Avenue from
57th Street to Slauson Avenue; .and
WHEREAS~ the City Council of the City of Vernon has investigated
the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid for the work done
under said Contract No. 262.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 262 and Plans No. A1-1593
be~ and the same are hereby approved for the construction of a sanitary
sewer in Santa Fe Avenue from 57th Street to Slauson Avenue.
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing rate
per diem for wages for laborers~ workmen and mechanics employed by
contractors and subcontractors~ for the doing of any work .set forth in
Contract No. 262 are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract
No. 262.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution .and thereupon and thereafter the
sa.me shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 15th day of August.. 1961.
