RESOLUTION NO. 2475
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE 3 TO 5 TON TANDEM ROLLER AND TRAILER IN
ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 263 HERETOFORE APPROVED
BY THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on July 5, 1961, Essick Machinery Company, a
Division of Essick Manufacturing Company, was awarded the contract for
furnishing 3 to 5 ton tandem roller and trailer in accordance with Contract
No. 263; and
WHEREAS, David D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer, has reported
to the City Council under date of August 3, 1961, that said equipment has
been received in a satisfactory manner. and that payment should be made in
accordance with the contract;
NOW.. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the 3 to 5 ton tandem roller and
trailer be.. and the same is hereby accepted as being satisfactory and
in accordance with Contract No. 263 heretofore approved by the City of
Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That a partial payment in amount of
$4,154.37 has been made, and the remaining fifteen percent, or the
sum of $733.13 is payable thirty-five days after the adoption of this resolution,
and the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to the Essick
Machinery Company, a Division of Essick Manufacturing Company.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 15th day of August, 1961.
