RESOLUTION NO. 2478
3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE RECONSTRUCTION OF 26TH STREET FROM SANTA
4 FE AVENUE 1'0 MINERVA STREET.. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 251 HERETOFORE ApPROVED BY THE CITY OF VERNON.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS.. David D. GraysonJ Traffic Engineer" has reported
8 to the City Council under date of August 10.. 1961.. that the reconstruction of
9 26th S.treet from Santa Fe Avenue to Minerva Street has been completed
10 in accordance with Contract No. 251; and
11 WHEREAS.. said David D. Grayson" has recommended that
12 the work be accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance
13 with the agreement;
14 NOW" THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the reconstruction of 26th Street from
16 Santa Fe Avenue to Minerva Street be.. and the same is hereby accepted in
17 accordance with Contract No. 251 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That partial payments in amount of $14.. 556.49
have been made.. and the remaining fifteen percent.. or the sum of $2" 568. 79
is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution~ and the
City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to the Contractor" George
Savala Paving Company.
SECTION 3:
Th.e City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the pass.age of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 15th day of August.. 1961.
