REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR CONSTRUCTION OF VERNON
4 AVENUE RELIEF SEWER. AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2468
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 266 OF SAm CITY.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VEnNON RESOLVES AS. FQLLOWS!
7 WHEREAS.. under date of August 1.. 1961 the City Council of
8 the City of Vernon approved Contract No. 266 by Reaolutictn No. 2468 for
9 thecol1$truction of Vernon Avenue Relief Sewer; and
10 WH;EREA$. under date of August 15.. 1961 sealed bids we~
11 opened for th.e consb:-u.ct1on of said sewer; and
12 WHEREAS.. the CityCouncll of th.e City of Vernon finds that the
13 best interest of the CUy will he served by rejecting all bids received and
14 rescinding Resolution No. 2468atJproving said C()utract Nt).. 266.
15 NOW.. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEl):

SECTION 1:
That the City GouncU of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby~ectall bids received for the construction of Vernon Avenue
18 Relief Sewer. and hereby reaeinds ReSolution No. 2468 of said City approving
19 Contract No. 266.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk is hereby instru.cted and
21 directed to return all .checks or d.raftstoall bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vern-on shall
23 certify to' the passage of this Resolution and thereupo.n a.nd thereafter the
24 same shall be in full f{)rce and effect.
25 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day o.f September.. 1961.
