RESOLUTION NO. 2484
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE RESURFACING OF SOTO STREET FROM NORTH CITY
BOUNDARY TO LOS ANGELES RIVER BRIDGE~ IN ACCORDANC;E WITH
CONTRACT NO. 257 HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF
VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ David D. Grayson~ Traffic Engineer~ has reported
to the City Council under date of August 18" 1961" that the resurfacing
of Soto Street from North City Boundary to Los Angeles River Bridge has
been completed in accordance with Contract No. 257; and
WHEREAS~ s.aid David D. Grayson~ has recommended that
the work be accepted and payment made to th.e Contractor in accordance
with the agreement;
NOW~ THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the resurfacing of Soto Street from
North City Boundary to Los Angeles River Bridge be" and the sa.me is
hereby accepted in accordance with Contract No. 257 heretofore approved
by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That a partial payment in amount of
$9" 512. 51 has been made" and the remaining fifteen percent" or the sum
of $1~ 678. 68 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this
resolution" and the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to
the Contractor~ Sully-Miller Contracting Company.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution" and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day of September" 1961.
