A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 269 AND PLANS NO. Al-1596 FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF VERNON AVENUE REliEF SEWER.. IN VERNON
AVENUE FROM ALCOA AVENUE TO TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY FEET
(250') EAST OF ALCOA AVENUE,. AND DETERMINING THE GENERAL
PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS" under date of August 28" 1961" Arthur E. Nelson~
Jr." City Engineer" presented Contract No. 269 with Plans No.. A1-1596
to the City Council for the construction or Vernon Avenue Relief Sewer; and
WHEREAS,. the City Co.uncil of the City of Vernon has. investigate
the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid for the work do.ne
under said Co.ntract No. 269.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 269 and Plans No. Al-1596
16 be" and the same .are hereby approved for the construction of Vernon Avenue
17 Relief Sewer, in Vernon Avenue from Alcoa Avenue to two hundred and
18 fifty feet (250'JEast of Alcoa Avenue in the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained and does h.ereby find and declare that the general prevailing rate
per diem for wages for laborers" workmen and me chanics employed by
co.ntractors and subcontractors" for the doing of any work set forth in
Contract No.. 269 are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract
No. 269.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to. the passage o.f this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day o.f
1961.
