RESOLUTION NO. 2498
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF BEN BARCLAY MOTORS FOR FURNISffiNG
TWO DUMP TRUCKS1 IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 268
OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLV;ES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS" Contract No. 268 was approved by the City Council
of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2489, and pursuant thereto sealed
bids were opened on October 3" 1961; and
WHEREAS~ said bids were reierred to David D. Grayson~
Traffic Engineer" who has reported to the City Council under date of
October 5, 1961 recommending that a contract be awarded to Ben Barclay
Motors for the sum of $9" 121.56 (corrected to include sales tax)" it being
the lowest bid received. meeting the contract requirements;
NOW I THEREFORE1 BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of
David D. Grayson~ Traffic Engineer~ and authorizes the execution of .a
contract with Ben Barclay Motors~ 1050 E.ast Slauson Avenue~ Los Angeles 11
California, for furnishing two dump trucks in accordance with Contract No.
268 heretofore approved by the City Council.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected" and the City
Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checkS or drafts to
unsuccessful bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution" and thereupon and thereafter the
s.ame shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th day of October~ 1961.
