3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
if 0 NO RING ERNEST E. DEBS~ CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF
4 SUPERVISORS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY.
RESOLUTION NO. 2501
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS~ the City of Vernon,wishes to congratulate Ernest
7 E. Debs upon thecor11pletionof twenty years of distinguished service in
8!...,os Angeles County; and
9 WHEREAS" Mr. Debs is now serving as the Chairman of the
10 Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County and, as such" has rendered
11 great service to the City of Vernon;
12 NOW, THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
The City Council on behalf of the City of
14 Vernon hereby congratulates Ernest E. Debs and expresses its gratitude
15 and appreciation to Supervisor Debs for his service to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That the City Council extends to Supervisor

17 Debs its heart-felt than.~s and best wishes for his continued success.
SECTION 3:
That a certified copy of this resolution be
19 presented to Supervisor Debs at his testimonial dinner on October 30, 1961.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th day of October" 1961.
