RESOLUTION NO. 2508
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE WASHINGTON BOULEVARD RECONSI'RUCTION FROM
NORTH CITY BOUNDARY TO DOWNEY ROAD" IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 260 HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF
VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ David D. Grayson, Traffi-c Engineer~ has reported
to the City Council under date of November 16" 1961~ that the Washington
Boulevard reconstruction from North City Boundary to Downey Road has
been completed in accordance with Contract No. 260; and
WHEREAS~ said David D. Grayson has recommended that the
work be accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance with
the agre erne nt;
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the Washington Boulevard reconstruction
from North City Boundary to Downey Road be" and the same is hereby
accepted in accordance with Contract No. 260 heretofore approved by the
City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That partial payments in amount of $20" 028. 73
have been made" and the remaining fifteen percent" or the sum of $3" 534.48
is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution" and
the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to the Contractor"
Vernon Paving Company.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution" and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this .21st day of November, 1961.
