2 A ~ESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF TOM E. NORCItOSS. INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION
3 OF FIRE STATION NO. 2 AND COMMUNICATIONS BUlLD.ING. IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 258 OF SAID CITY.

5 THE CITy COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS" $pecifications No. 258 were approved by the City
7 Council.()f the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2476 and pursuant thereto
8 sealed bids were opened on November 7" 1961; and
9 WHEREAS" said bids were referred to Mason" Muntz It Associates"
10 Architeclsand Engineers, and 1... C. Husted. Fire Chief of the City ell
11 Vernon" who have reported to the City Council under date of November 15.
12 1961 recommending that aoontraet be awarded to Tom E. Norcross, Inc.,
13 for the sum of $283" 900.00, it being the lowest bid received meeting the
14 contract requirements;

15 NOW~ THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
17 hereby award the contract in aecordattce with th.e recommendation of Mason"
18 Muntz & As:sociatesand L. C. Husted and authorizes the execution of a
19 contract with Tom E. Norcross, Inc. for the construction of Fire Station No.
20 2 and Communications Building" in accordance with Specifications No-. 2.58
21 heretofo.re approved by the City Council.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected. and the City
23 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checksQr drafts to.
24 unsuccessful bidders.

The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
