RESOLUTION NO. 2511
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF HYDRO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF ELEVATED TANK CONNECTIONS" IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 261 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 261 was approved by the City Council
of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2492, and pursuant thereto sealed
bids were opened on November 21, 1961; and
WHEREAS.. said bids were referred to Robert H. King.
Superintendent of Water and Sewer Systems, who has reported to the City
Council under date of November 30. 1961. recommending that a contract be
awarded to Hydro Construction Company, for the sum of $30,432.00. it being
the lowest bid received meeting the contract requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of
Robert H. King. Superintendent of Water and Sewer Systems, and authorizes
the execution of a contract with Hydro Construction Company for the con-
struction of Elevated Tank Connections, in accordance with Contract No. 261
heretofore approved by the City Council.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected.. and the City
Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
unsuccessful bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day of December, 1961.
