RESOLUTION NO. 2517
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING TWO DUMP TRUCKS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 268 HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on October 17, 19 61~ Ben Barclay Motors was
awarded the contract for furnishing two dump trucks in accordance with
Contract No. 268; and
WHEREAS~ David D. Grayson~ Traffic Engineer, has reported
to the City Council under date of December 5, 1961, that said equipment
has been received in a satisfactory manner~ and that payment should be
made in accordance with the contract;
NOW" THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That two dump trucks be, and the same are
hereby accepted as beingsatisIactory and in accordance with Contract No.
268 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That a partial payment in amount of $7" 753. 33
has been made, and the remaining fifteen percent, or the sum of $1" 368.23
is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution~ and the
City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to the Ben Barclay Motors.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
to the passage of this Resolution" and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 19th day of December" 1961.
