RESOLUTION NO. 2519
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY TREASURER TO TRANSFER
3 MONIES FROM THE VERNON CITY GENERAL FUND TO THE VERNON
LIGHT AND POWER ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT FUND.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ there are certain monies in the Vernon City General
Fund not oiherw ise allocated; and
WHEREAS~ the City Clerk advises that there is in excess of
$980,000.00 in the General Fund available for transfer; and
WHEREAS~ the City Council finds it advisable to transfer the sum
of $980,000.00 from the General Fund to the Vernon Light and Power
Acquisition and Improvement Fund for the purpose of constructing or acquirin
facilities and appurtenances~ including lands and rights-of-way necessary
therefor, for the generation and/or transmission and/or distribution of
electrical energy and power to the City of Vernon and its inhabitants~
industries and consumers;
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
The City Treasurer is hereby authorized and
19 directed to transfer from the General Fund to the Vernon Light and Power
20 Acquisition and Improvement Fund the sum of $980,000.00.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 16th day of January, 1962.
